How we can help.

Frequently asked.

How do I save a place from another app?
Plinn's main feature is the iOS Share Sheet extension. From Safari, Instagram, Apple Maps, Google Maps, or any app that supports sharing:
My places aren't syncing between devices.
Plinn syncs through your iCloud account. Both devices need to be signed into the same Apple ID, and iCloud Drive needs to be on. If a place hasn't appeared after a few minutes:
I shared a board with a friend, but they can't see it.
A few things have to line up:
If everything looks right and the share still hasn't landed: ask your friend to pull-to-refresh on the Boards screen, then to fully restart the app.
How do I delete a place, board, or trip?
Swipe left on the row, or tap the item and use the menu in the top right. Deletes propagate through iCloud to your other devices, and to anyone you've shared with.
Can I export my data?
Trips and boards can be exported as .plinntrip and .plinncollection files from each item's share menu. We're working on a full library export for a future release.
How do I delete my data completely?
Delete the Plinn app from your device. To remove the iCloud copy too, open Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Plinn → Delete Data from iCloud. Plinn doesn't keep any data on its own servers, so once it's gone from iCloud and your device, it's gone.
Plinn keeps asking for location, photos, or contacts. Why?
Each permission unlocks a specific feature: location for the map and "near me" sort, photos for attaching your own images to a place, contacts for picking friends to share with. You can grant or revoke any of them in Settings → Plinn. Plinn works without any of them — you'll just lose the feature each one powers.
Is there a web version?
Not today. Plinn is iOS-only and stays close to Apple's stack — Sign in with Apple, iCloud, MapKit. A web companion may come later if there's demand. Email us if you'd want one.

Still stuck?
